Natally offers professionally developed antenatal education designed and taught by registered Midwife, Emily Tipping.
Our courses support parents through all stages of pregnancy, birth, postpartum and early parenting with up-to-date, evidence-based information.
Our courses are designed for expectant parents - specifically pregnant women and their support person. They're especially helpful for first-time parents or those who want a refresher before welcoming another baby.
Any time between 25 and 35 weeks of pregnancy is ideal, though you're welcome to start whenever it suits you.
Before purchasing, you can explore the detailed topic list via the 'curriculum' tab on each course description page.
In general, our courses cover a wide range of topics, including labour and birth preparation, pain management, the stages of labour, partner support, newborn care, feeding, and postnatal wellbeing and recovery.
Natally acknowledges and respects the Australian College of Midwives' (ACM) position statement that "supports the choice of planned, midwife-birth at home as a safe option for women with uncomplicated pregnancies" (ACM, 2019, pg. 2). Publicly funded homebirth programs are also available in many Australian states and territories.
However, due to current exclusions within Natally's indemnity insurance, we are unable to provide training or education related to homebirth at this time. Our courses focus on evidence-based preparation for pregnancy, labour, birth, and early parenting that apply across a variety of settings, including hospitals and birth centres.
